Extended Stay America's board of directors has
named CFO Jonathan Halkyard as ESA president and CEO, effective Jan. 1.
Halkyard has been CFO for ESA since January 2015 and had served as COO from
September 2013 through 2014. Current president and CEO Gerry Lopez, who has helmed
the organization since August 2015 and oversaw the launch of ESA
2.0, will serve as a senior advisor until March.
