Wyndham Hotel Group reported fourth-quarter earnings of $40 million, up 25 percent from a year earlier
. Net income for Wyndham Worldwide rose by 15 percent to $84 million. The group's total fourth-quarter revenues increased by 9 percent year over year to $163 million, boosted by a 10 percent increase in revenue per available room and the acquisition of the midprice Tryp brand. Fourth-quarter occupancy across all Wyndham brands was 45.3 percent, up from 41.6 percent a year earlier. Average daily rate increased by 1.3 percent overall and by 3.3 percent for the upscale Wyndham brand.
