Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide reported fourth-quarter net income of $203 million
, compared with $159 million a year earlier. The company cited a "double-digit" increase in worldwide revenue per available room and reported an 11 percent jump in revenues from same-store, owned hotels. Total revenues from owned, leased and consolidated joint venture hotels dropped to $602 million from $894 million in the fourth quarter of 2005, due to the sale of 50 properties.
