PricewaterhouseCoopers for 2011 projected a 4.8 percent increase in the average daily rate for U.S. hotels
, noting that demand this year has recovered to 2007 levels. The firm said supply would increase by 2 percent this year and by 0.4 percent in 2011. PwC also predicted a 7.4 percent jump in 2011 for U.S. revenue per available room, which would be the highest annual increase since 2006.
