Marriott announced plans to introduce a "green hotel prototype" that would cut energy and water consumption "by up to 25 percent."
The company said the prototype--to debut in April 2010 is designed for Courtyard properties, and would be followed by prototypes for its Fairfield Inn, Residence Inn, SpringHill Suites and TownePlace Suites brands.
