Accor reported a 7.8 percent increase in 2007 hotel revenue to €5.4 billion
(US$8 billion), "reflecting the upturn in the European hotel cycle observed since mid-2005." Average daily rates across the company’s portfolio--covering such brands as Sofitel, Novotel, Mercure and Motel 6--increased in all reported markets, including France (5.5 percent), Germany (13.9 percent) the United Kingdom (6.4 percent) and the United States (14.4 percent).
