MasterCard agreed to acquire Turkish payment provider Provus,

the company announced Thursday. The acquisition increases MasterCard's processing presence in "high-growth markets", according to the company, and its ability to deliver processing solutions for financial institutions and customers in the "emerging prepaid and mobile payments space." Provus' services include issuer and acquirer processing, prepaid solutions and ATM processing. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close in the fourth quarter. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
