AirPlus International unveiled a payment solution designed for meetings management companies.

The Events Solution product uses single-use virtual MasterCard card numbers, generated by a tool users download to their desktops, to make upfront payments to meetings suppliers for meetings clients. "The solution helps such agencies avoid paying upfront costs for their clients’ meetings and events; instead, AirPlus covers the costs for them," according to an AirPlus statement. All upfront costs are charged back to a centrally billed lodge card, according to the company, "and all data related to meetings and events spend is captured on a single invoice."
