JetBlue Airways reported a $3 million first-quarter profit
Despite a 39 percent year-over-year increase in jet fuel expenses, , up from a $1 million loss for the same period last year. The airline reported record quarterly revenue of more than $1 billion, citing healthy demand and the highest average one-way fare in its history, at $150, up nearly 6 percent from first quarter 2010. JetBlue revised downward its full-year growth plan and now expects available seat miles to increase between 6 percent and 8 percent.
