U.S. travel agencies in October processed 1.4 percent more air transactions than they did a year earlier,
according to ARC, following two months of declines. Total air sales including refunds and exchanges rose 2.9 percent. Excluding refunds and exchanges, domestic transactions and airfare sales in October increased 1.6 percent and 2.3 percent, respectively, while international transactions and airfare sales edged higher by 0.9 percent and 0.7 percent, respectively, according to ARC data.
