Travelport named former HP Enterprise Services executive Bret Kidd vice president and general manager of airline IT solutions.

Kidd, most recently co-founder of IT services firm Stratos Management Systems and a former executive with Hewlett-Packard's EDS unit, is charged with leading "Travelport's teams responsible for designing, selling and delivering hosting and IT solutions to airlines," according to Travelport. Kidd reports to group vice president and managing director of global distribution services and sales Derek Sharp.
