Travelport announced a "long-term" distribution agreement with United Airlines
that will provide subscriber access to the airline's "best inventory and prices" and unspecified ancillary products. As part of the deal, United agreed to participate in the Travelport Merchandising Platform, including the Rich Content and Branding module. The airline this year began selling its Economy Plus seating product via Travelport, but United declined to identify other ancillary services covered in the agreement. "We'll work with Travelport to develop solutions that will provide the most meaningful ancillary content to the Travelport agent and to our customers," according to a United spokesperson. "We're still developing the timetable for additional ancillary product rollouts."
