Total segments booked through Travelport around the world grew 3 percent year over year to 89 million in the September quarter,
with
Asia/Pacific showing the greatest gain at 6 percent and Europe inching up by 1
percent. Growth in the Americas was 3 percent. The company Wednesday also
reported that net revenue grew 4 percent to $509 million in the third quarter.
Travelport recorded a net loss of $26 million compared with a profit of $25
million a year earlier, but stated that pre-tax earnings were "in line
with management expectations despite the uncertain economic climate in many key
geographies."
