Sabre completed its acquisition of Asia/Pacific global distribution system operator Abacus International on Wednesday.

In May, Sabre agreed to buy the 65 percent stake it didn't already hold from 11 airlines. In conjunction with the deal closing, Sabre named Roshan Mendis senior vice president of Asia/Pacific for Sabre Travel Network. His role includes leadership of Abacus. He served as Americas president of Travelocity.com prior to Sabre's sale of the business to Expedia this year.
