Revenue from long-haul business-class bookings for Capita Travel and Events fell 9 percent year over year in the 12 months ending June 30,
but revenue for long-haul economy class climbed by the same percentage, according to the United Kingdom-based travel management company. Capita attributed the switch to a tightening of travel policy by clients, including such rule changes as a total ban on premium travel or raising the allowable minimum flight duration for business-class use. Air product manager Corrie Long said employers are cushioning the impact by allowing increasing use of airport lounge passes for their travelers.
