Mega corporate travel agency air transactions processed through ARC in December edged upward by 0.8 percent from a year earlier,

marking a third consecutive month of growth—the longest positive trend since early 2011. Including American Express, BCD Travel, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Egencia, HRG and Omega World Travel, the mega agencies' aggregate transaction increase (including refunds and exchanges) compared with a 4.5 percent decline recorded by ARC for all agencies. Online agencies as a group continued to lag the rest, with aggregate December transactions down 7.5 percent. Excluding refunds and exchanges, the increase in mega agency transactions was less than 1 percent.
