China's Ctrip.com International for the quarter ending Dec. 31 posted corporate travel management revenue growth of 36 percent year over year,
to RMB78.2 million (US$12.9 million), "primarily driven by the increased corporate travel demand from business activities." Also a provider of packaged tours, hotel booking and other ticketing services, Ctrip's full-year 2013 corporate travel revenue jumped 34 percent from 2012, to RMB267 million (US$44.1 million). Corporate travel accounted for 5 percent of total company revenue in both 2012 and 2013, and is expected to increase between 25 percent and 30 percent during the current quarter versus the prior-year period, according to executives speaking on a conference call with analysts. Ctrip's overall fourth-quarter net income improved by 31 percent year over year and by 40 percent for full-year 2013, to RMB998 million (US$165 million).
