Average airfares settled through ARC in January were up nearly across the board.

Comprising American Express, BCD Travel, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Expedia's Egencia, Hogg Robinson Group and Omega World Travel, the mega agency group's average roundtrip fare without tax was $708, up from $683 in January 2013. The average zero-to-six-day advance purchase fare among megas was $711, down slightly from a year earlier, while average fares increased modestly in the seven-to-13-day ($674), 14-to-20-day ($627) and 21-to-180-day ($740) advance purchase categories. Among online travel agencies, fares were up in every advance purchase category, with an average fare of $371. For all agencies grouped in the "other" segment, the average January roundtrip fare was $600, up from $593 a year earlier.
