As Lufthansa’s €16 distribution surcharge went into effect on Tuesday, the Global Business Travel Association reiterated its objection
to the carrier’s strategy but released the following statement: “Travel buyers across the globe have expressed concerns with this plan from Lufthansa Group airlines. GBTA is disappointed that Lufthansa is moving forward with this plan, but will now shift our focus to educating travel buyer members on how the additional cost will impact their company travel budgets.”
