The Qantas board of directors backed a revised take-over bid by a group of private investors

The investor group, Airline Partners Australia, includes Allco Equity Partners, Macquarie Bank, Texas Pacific Group and others. It said its plan for Qantas includes "an expansion of services, particularly internationally."
