The European hotel industry in 2011 will continue on a "muted but upward path," according to Deloitte
. The firm reported that revenue per available room during the first nine months of the year increased 9.5 percent compared with 2009, but average daily rates were down slightly. Cities experiencing the largest year-over-year ADR increases during the period included Stockholm (20.1 percent), Munich (18.4 percent), Dusseldorf (14.7 percent) and Zurich (11.3 percent). Some of the largest declines were reported for Copenhagen (11 percent), Dublin (9.5 percent) and Budapest (9 percent).
