Several international carriers recently increased passenger fuel surcharges to offset rising jet fuel prices
. British Airways, for example, raised passenger fuel surcharges on all tickets. The increases range from £6 (US$11.83) to a total of £26 (US$51.27) for short-haul roundtrip tickets and £30 (US$59.16) to a total of £158 (US$311.55) for the longest roundtrip flights. Other carriers recently upping surcharges include Air France, Korean Air and Thai Airways. Qantas raised all international ticket prices by 3 percent.
