Marriott International's corporate rates fell 19 percent year over year in the third quarter, on 11 percent fewer corporate room nights
. Corporate room nights had declined 18 percent year over year in the June quarter. Compared with 2007, September quarter corporate room nights this year were down 19 percent, better than the second-quarter drop of 23 percent versus 2007, according to Marriott CFO Carl Berquist.
