Lufthansa also said that merger synergies in 2006 of €200 million (US$269 million) outpaced initial expectations and that Swiss would continue developing the Zurich hub "alongside the hubs in Frankfurt and Munich, as an integral part of Lufthansa's multi-hub strategy."
