International air passenger traffic growth slowed in September

The 4.7 percent year-over-year increase was "well below" the nearly 6 percent average growth to date, and "is starting to weaken the strong revenue environment," said IATA director general Giovanni Bisignani. Traffic grew by double-digit percentages in Africa and the Middle East, and declined nearly 9 percent in Latin America.
