Hertz signed Marriott International as the "first major corporate account" for the rental company's car sharing program

Hertz will station cars at Marriott's Bethesda, Md. headquarters to provide employees "with an environmentally friendly, economical alternative to car ownership and a solution for short-term transportation needs." Hertz expects more clients to replace fixed corporate fleet costs with per-trip car-sharing fees. According to Marriott CFO Arne Sorenson, "Based on this program's success, we will review making it available at our hotels throughout the world."
