" resulting from "the worldwide financial crisis, economic slowdown and falling consumer confidence," according to Smith Travel Research. Average daily rates declined in Dublin (11 percent year over year), London (11 percent), Prague (10 percent) and Rome (6 percent), according to STR data. However, average rates rose in other cities, including Berlin (12 percent), Brussels (3 percent), Lisbon (4 percent) Moscow (1 percent) and Warsaw (6 percent).
