Europcar agreed to purchase the European operations of National Car Rental and Alamo Car Rental

If approved by competition authorities, the € 670 million deal would give Europcar a leading position in the United Kingdom and a greater presence throughout Europe, according to a company statement. Europcar also signed a partnership linking to National's and Alamo's North American operations, positioning it "to participate in tender business by providing a competitive worldwide commercial solution."
