American Eagle plans to install a first class cabin on 25 Bombardier CRJ700 regional jets, according to a company announcement
American Airlines regional affiliate . AA CFO Tom Horton described the development as "a key benefit to premium customers, particularly in business markets where we will be flying these planes." The renovated aircraft will be ready for service in mid-2010. AA also signed a letter of intent with Bombardier to purchase 22 additional CRJ700s, with deliveries beginning in mid-2010.
