Air France-KLM lost €542 million (US$856 million) during the quarter ending March 31
due largely to the booking of a €530 million (US$837 million) provision "on the basis of the current status of the investigation by the European and U.S. competition authorities into the air cargo industry." Excluding the provision, the loss would have been €49 million (US$77 million) versus a net gain of €44 million (US$70 million) a year earlier. The company's March quarter revenues rose 6 percent to €5.7 billion (US$9 billion).
