Air Canada posted a third-quarter net loss of C$132 million (US$127 million)
, including losses related to its fuel hedge contracts and foreign currency items. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortization and rent fell by C$206 million (US$199 million) versus last year to C$355 million (US$342 million). Passenger yield increased 6.2 percent, "mainly reflecting higher fares and fuel surcharges." The company said "forward bookings are tracking in line with announced capacity reductions."
