Travel tech company CheckMate launched CheckMate Conversations on Thursday.
The program allows partnered hotels to reach out to a guest before check-in and continue to communicate with that traveler via text, email or phone, depending on the traveler's preference. Previously, ongoing, direct communication between a hotel and a traveler would have occurred within a dedicated app. CheckMate Conversations is available only to CheckMate partnered properties but will be accessible through online travel agency and travel management company partners later this summer, according to the company.
