July 14, 2010 - 11:40 AM ET

By Chris Davis

Travel management company Altour International late Tuesday announced it had purchased Savage-Minn.-based Advantage Travel & Incentives, a regional corporate and leisure agency.

Advantage does business under the names Advantage Performance Network and Advantage Travel Management. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Altour said APN would integrate with Altour's Travel Authority, creating a combined entity with sales volume of more than $900 million.

Advantage president and CEO Mary Sue Leathers will remain with the company. "APN strives to form solid relationships with its clients and maintains them by taking good care of their travelers and program participants," said Altour founder and president Alexandre Chemla.

The acquisition is Altour's second in the span of a year, following its August 2009 purchase of The Travel Authority.
