Wyndham Hotel Group saw a 2.8 percent year-over-year
increase in same-store revenue per available room during the second quarter.
Prior to the company's earnings call, Wyndham Worldwide announced the hotel
group would be spun
off to form a separate publicly traded company. For the quarter, the hotel
group saw 3.3 percent year-over-year net growth of its portfolio, which totaled
more than 8,100 properties as of June 30. Its development pipeline stood at
more than 150,800 rooms at quarter's end, an 18 percent year-over-year increase.
Of that total, 57 percent of the rooms were international and 67 percent were
new construction. Hotel group revenue rose from $334 million in 2016 to $345 million.
