Alaska Air Group and Virgin America have pushed
back merger plans to give the U.S. Department of Justice more time for an
antitrust review, Bloombergreported.
The carriers had planned to close the deal by Sept. 30 but have agreed to wait
"several more weeks." Bloomberg
cited "a person familiar with the matter" as its source, and neither
carrier has acknowledged the delay.
