Year over year in the second quarter, Air France-KLM passenger revenue grew 2.4 percent in constant currency to 5.15 billion euros; strong medium-haul demand offset the impact of 12 days of pilot strikes at Air France. Traffic rose 0.6 percent as capacity increased 0.1 percent, pushing the group's load factor up 0.4 percentage points to 87.1 percent. The group reported an operating profit of 345 million euros for the quarter, down 41 percent year over year. The strikes caused a 260 million euro hit to that total, according to the group.
