After 37 years with American Express, president
and CEO Ken Chenault will retire in February. Stephen Squeri, currently group president of
Global Corporate Services, will
replace him. We're starting a new chapter from a position of strength," Chenault
said, "and this is the right time to make the leadership transition to
someone who's played a central role in all that we've accomplished."
