UATP Adds BSPs To ARC For Data
Washington, D.C.-based corporate payment provider Universal Air Travel Plan today announced a joint initiative with the International Air Transport Association to link UATP's central network, ATCAN, with worldwide billing and settlement plans via IATA's electronic data exchange network, called iiNET.
The link will permit UATP member airlines to connect to ATCAN for instant, secure data transfer. According to UATP president and chairman Richard Crum, the addition of BSP Germany--the first BSP location to start transferring files daily to the ATCAN data processing facility--to the U.S.-based Airlines Reporting Corp. covers for UATP more than 60 percent of its client needs.
"Our partners at IATA and our airline members recognize the value of data in today's environment," Crum said in a press statement. "The iiNET link will ensure the efficiency of data exchange between our airline members and their corporate customers."
