Luggage Locks TSA Can Unlock
Airport security personnel now can inspect and re-lock travelers' bags quickly and easily with Compact EasyCheck locks, certified by Travel Sentry and featuring a secure system accepted and recognized by the Transportation Security Administration. The resettable four-dial combination lock provides additional security by allowing travelers to periodically change the combination.
EasyCheck locks are sturdy, die-cast combination devices that carry the red and white diamond-shaped Travel Sentry logo on the front and back and a special TSA code on the bottom.
Because TSA recognizes and uses the Travel Sentry locking system, its screeners can unfasten EasyCheck locks if bags need to be inspected and then relock the bags and send them on their way. TSA screeners must cut off all other types of luggage locks if they need to inspect bags. In the event that an EasyCheck lock is cut off by TSA, bring the lock to any Brookstone store and it will replace it free of charge. TSA controls the distribution of the special codes and tools used to open Travel Sentry certified locks. Only qualified personnel within TSA will have access to these tools. Airline checkin personnel are being briefed and trained to recognize EasyCheck locks. The product costs $20 for a set of two.
