SAS, Worldspan Ink Content Pact
SAS AB, the multinational airline for Norway, Denmark and Sweden, today said it has finalized a full content agreement with Worldspan, pledging to provide the global distribution system all fares, schedules and availability.
A Worldspan spokesperson would not disclose the terms of the deal, but said the agreement expands upon a pre-existing "short-term" distribution agreement the GDS had in place with SAS.
In a statement, SAS said content includes "published low-fare classes and Web fares, that are available through SAS's own reservations and ticket agents, as well as SAS Group carriers' Web sites."
"Worldspan is committed to providing competitive airline content to travel agents all over the world," said Kevin Ficco, Worldspan vice president of distribution and business development, in a statement. "Full content parity with SAS Web sites and the carrier's own reservations and ticket agents ensures that Worldspan customers have access to the best SAS has to offer."
