MasterCard, CWT To Integrate Spending, Travel Program Data
MasterCard Worldwide and Carlson Wagonlit Travel today announced the release of a card-based enhanced global travel data program that enables buyers to have such travel program data as policy rules, accounting codes and itineraries integrated with actual expenditure reports.
The program is now available for CWT clients in Australia, China and Singapore and 13 European markets, including France, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. Officials said it will be launched in other markets, but there is no definitive time frame.
"Corporate travel buyers, especially multinational corporations, require access to robust data that allows them to closely manage travel spending globally and at the regional and country level," said Paul Adler, vice president of global commerce development for MasterCard Worldwide. "This program will do just that by allowing users to better understand travel spending patterns around the world and make smarter business decisions."
