In reference to "Airfare Disparities Remain in GDSs"
(BTNonline, Sept. 29), I wanted to clarify one statement I made regarding Topaz International commissioned studies. During the past few years, we have changed the manner in which we do these studies for the GDS companies to ensure they are also fair and on a level playing field. We in fact refuse to do studies that are biased in any way. Most recently a study done for Sabre was completed using the same methodology as the independent, unpaid study we completed earlier this year. We understand that our independence and unbiased approach to these studies is beneficial to both the industry as a whole as well as all of our clients. We want to be sure your readers understand this for any and all studies done by Topaz International.
