AA, US Airways Align E-Tickets
February 12, 2003 - 12:00 AM ET
American Airlines and US Airways today announced a new electronic ticket interline agreement enabling single e-tickets for itineraries including both carriers. The bilateral link, the latest in a series of similar agreements between major U.S. carriers, also facilitates easier rebooking, when necessary. American-US Airways interlined e-tickets currently are available through the carriers' reservation centers, airport locations and ticket offices.
For American, the US Airways arrangement adds to previous links established with Continental, Northwest and United airlines. US Airways' only existing e-ticket interline agreement prior to today's announcement connects it with domestic alliance partner United.
