Cvent plans to hire more than 1,000 people this year, added to its roster of more than 3,000. A spokesperson cited growing demand for event management software and ongoing international expansion. The new hires will fill roles across all departments, most notably technology and customer service, the spokesperson said. Many will work out of Cvent's headquarters in Tysons Corner, Va., and its offices in Austin; Boston; Atlanta; Dallas; Portland, Ore.; Draper, Utah; Fredericton, New Brunswick; London; Singapore; Melbourne; and New Delhi. To support the expanded headcount, Cvent will add more than 140,000 square feet of office space. The company also plans to open offices in Dubai and Germany this year.
