As part of an effort to bring larger companies onto its
platform, Uber for Business has added three features giving travel buyers extra
control over payment and compliance.
Until now, the platform had focused on centralized spend
management, Uber for Business head of product Greg Greiner said. Now, employees
that travel managers have added to the platform can pay with their individual
corporate cards.
In addition, travel managers can mark rides that seem noncompliant.
Also, travelers no longer have to contact customer support to change payment to
personal credit cards if they charged their corporate card in error.
A third new feature lets buyers designate employees' managers
as reviewers, giving them the ability to watch and flag their employees' Uber
trips. "This makes it easy for the travel manager to scale out Uber for
Business and keep the existing paradigms they have in their company,"
Greiner said.
All three features are part of an Uber for
Business enterprise product the company has been working on for the past few
months, making it more scalable to larger companies with more complex travel
programs and structures, he said.
