Lyft has opened its concierge service, which allows organizations
to request and schedule rides for other people, to organizations of all sizes. The
service had been available only to select Fortune 1000 companies and organizations, according to Lyft Business VP Gyre Renwick. After signing up for
an account as a company administrator, a corporate travel manager can monitor
and restrict rider activity and, based on access rights, consolidate employees'
Lyft Business profiles with the Concierge activity. Corporate travel managers also
can add "agents" who can request rides for other employees. That
could be useful for executive assistants and other travel arrangers.
