InterContinental Hotels Group will invest $200 million in its Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts brand in the Americas during the next three years. Its Crowne Plaza Accelerate plan entails upgrades to public and meeting spaces, tech-focused room redesign geared at business travelers and "significant investment" in sales and marketing initiatives. IHG Americas CEO Elie Maalouf said the Crowne Plaza brand will play a key role in the company's growth strategy in the Americas.
