InterContinental Hotels Group has discovered
malware on point-of-sale systems at 12 of its U.S. hotels.
IHG first began investigating its systems in late December after reports of
suspicious activity on cards used at IHG properties. The malware targeted
payment cards between August and December and collected information including
cardholder name, card number, expiration date and CVV number. In August,
multiple IHG properties were similarly targeted as part of a broader malware
attack on POS systems at HEI
Hotels & Resorts.
