Sabre Travel Network today announced the launch of a new rate auditing service for travel management companies and corporate travel buyers.
Sabre developed the service, called Rate Assured Negotiated Rate Auditing, by building on its acquisition of online request-for-proposals management supplier BidStork last year
(BTNonline, July 15, 2008). The service supplies a dashboard that allows buyers and TMCs to make sure negotiated rates are loaded, compare those rates with the best available rate at each hotel and automatically notify hotels when rates are not loaded properly. Additionally, buyers and TMCs can create compliance reports and determine the amount lost from rate loading problems for negotiating purposes.
"The recessionary economy has virtually all buyers and suppliers closely examining their preferred agreements, with an increasing number of corporations looking to their travel agency to help ensure they are maximizing the value of each preferred deal," Sabre Hospitality Solution COO Stephen Fitzgerald said in a statement.
The service is immediately available, a Sabre spokesperson said. Sabre already had provided a hotel certification program that promised agencies access to the lowest available unrestricted rates in its global distribution system.
