GDS Hotel Bookings Rise In September

Hotel bookings through global distribution systems in September increased by 25.2 percent year over year, and the net average daily rate at for those bookings increased by 7.4 percent, according to Pegasus Solutions.

In North America, September bookings increased 23.3 percent and the average rates inched up 1.7 percent.

Pegasus noted that while rates are rising overall, hotels continue to accept corporate travelers at low rates to fill rooms.
